vw polo or toyota yaris.ive owned both,if you get the 1,0 version you get cheap road tax and insurance and very good mpg.they are both verry nippy and perfect for around town and easy to park.the rear seat folds down on both if you need a bit of extra space.it sounds to me that you dont need anything more than the above or similar
SATURNS!! Good car, great gas mileage. Easy to park (fit in compact spaces) no problems.
Best trick…look at old cars on the road and take your own poll to find out what is still running
Any thing made by Chevy or GMC is good they’re very durable and could take some beatings.
Peugot 206
Vauxhall Astra
Vauxhall Corsa
Volkswagen Polo
Volkswagen Golf
Toyota Corolla
The smaller the engine the less power it has, generally. But the cheaper it is to run and insure. The less mileage the better but mileage = wear and tear. So higher mileage cars are cheaper.
Register with autotrader.co.uk and you can search for cars in your area. Decide on your price. You will get better choices from private sellers but better protection from trade sellers, warranty and so on. Get a car with a service history if you can. You can pay for an HPI check to see if the car is legal from RAC and many others.
